Citing Your Resources
Submitted by on March 8, 2007 - 6:32pm.
Citing Material
You must provide a citation when you use other’s work in a research paper. While there are multiple citation styles available, Speech 210 requires that you use the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style when citing sources for your speeches.
For directions on how to properly use this style, you may find the following helpful:
• The UT libraries homepage provides a link to style manuals under “reference shelf and quick facts.” An abridged guide to APA is found at the Purdue Online Writing Lab. Don’t forget that you must also cite electronic resources (style guides provide instructions on how to do this).
• The print APA style manual may be found in the library reference room, call number BF76.7 .P83 2001 (ask at the reference desk)
