JEM Director receives Honorary Doctorate

Dr. Peter Gross, Professor and Director of the School of Journalism and Electronic Media, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of West Timisoara in Romania in June 2009.
The Doctor Honoris Causa was given to him for his contributions to Eastern European Media Studies and his role in establishing the University of West Timisoara's journalism program in 1992.
It is the second Doctor Honoris Causa that Gross has received. The first was awarded to him by the University of Buccharest in 2005, also for contributions to Eastern European Media Studies.
