Dear Alumnus:
It’s almost here! The third annual Speech Communication/Communication Studies Alumni Reception will kick off on Saturday, April 26 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Foundry located in the World’s Fair Site. Your former teachers and office staff will be there along with several new additions to the communication faculty. The event will include a buffet dinner, a silent auction, and live music. In addition, we will announce the 2008 Communication Studies alumnus of the year.
The silent auction includes a wide range of items such as two tickets to the UT-Florida game, two tickets to the UT-Alabama game, a pregame “walk through” for eight people at a home game with the football team, Lady Vol tickets, autographed items by UT coaches and former players, week-end vacation getaways, food and beverage packages, jewelry, crafts, and a host of other offers to tempt you! And, as always, Dave Landeo will be there to provide musical entertainment.
We are excited about reconnecting with all of the members of the Speech Communication/Communication Studies family. You will also have the opportunity to welcome new members to our growing family as many of the 2008 class will be joining us at the reception. Please make plans to join former teachers, staff (Sandy Cabbage and Sherry McNair), and friends at this alumni association event.
