The University of Tennessee's School of Communication Studies offers undergraduate and graduate students the exciting opportunity to learn the processes of human communication alongside an energetic and collaborative faculty that have as much interest in teaching as they do in conducting the research generating the knowledge that is taught. Our faculty have particular expertise in interpersonal and organizational communication that is shared with students, preparing them to be leaders in a number of possible careers or a member of the next generation of communication scholars. Based on the belief that, "there is nothing so practical as a good theory," students in the School of Communication Studies are prepared for these opportunities through a rigorous education in communication theory, as well as the evaluation and application of that theory.
