It's been a spell

Well, a lot has happened since my original, and only, blog post. I was recently married (July 3), the dog gained two pounds and my desk is officially overloaded with course readings, new textbooks and hand-scrippled reminders to search the Internet and return phone calls to family and friends.

Last Wednesday took us toward the western end of the island.  Along the way we stopped at ancient Kourion with acres of recently discovered mosaics that date back to the time of Christ and structures that precede that.
