After a rash of negative press, Tennessee's Pride of the Southland Marching Band put on a Halloween themed halftime show that may cause many to change their opinion of the typically traditional group. The performance included a dancing segment in the middle of the band's rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

The UT Symphony Orchestra gave a magnificent performance Sunday to a small, but very lucky audience. Cox Auditorium was filled with the delightful music of Malcolm Arnold and Edward Elgar, two British composers of this century.

The UT Bookstore partnered with Reese's, 90.3 the ROCK and Second Harvest Food Bank to host a pumpkin carving contest this year for Halloween. The event benefited Second Harvest and provided fun for students as well as reward points and a raffle.
