As part of the Tennessee Biofuels Initiative, DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol, LLC, the University of Tennessee Research Foundation and Genera Energy, LLC, along with other contributors, are collaborating to build a biorefinery that converts swtichgrass to ethanol. This project takes into account the economic side of alternative energy.

The University of Tennessee volleyball team (19-6, 12-3 Southeastern Conference) added another sweep to its résumé Sunday, downing Alabama (7-19, 5-11 SEC) in straight sets, 25-20, 25-19, 25-23. The 3-0 victory marked the Lady Volunteers' second of the weekend and 12th of the season.

OIT encountered an error during the installation of Microsoft's Antigen Antivirus application on the faculty/staff exchange servers. Changes that were made to the servers were rolled back. Currently users on Exchange server KFSVS4 are unable to access Exchange. All other faculty/staff Exchange servers should be available. OIT is working to bring KFSVS4 back online, but at this time there is no ETA for when it will be back up.

OIT will be performing maintenance on the faculty/staff Exchange systems during our regular maintenance window this Sunday morning beginning at 12:01 am and lasting up to 6 hours. During the maintenance period, OIT system administrators will install Microsoft’s Antigen Antivirus application on the faculty/staff servers. Exchange will periodically be unavailable as servers are rebooted after Antigen is installed.
