news :: Students voice opinions on texting while driving
Texting has become a mainstay in society today, and texting while driving is certainly an unwise action. A recent Tennessee law has banned texting while driving, but the effect of this law has yet to be measured. Two UT students say they recognize the dangers associated with texting and driving, but one of them continues to engage in the unsafe act anyway.

The Tennessee Lady Vols volleyball team defeated the Florida Gators in front of the third largest crowd in school history. Thompson-Boling Arena was filled with 1,532 orange and white fans as the Lady Vols defeated the Gators in four sets, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15, and 25-22.

The second film of the Twilight Saga, New Moon premieres this week. TNJN reporters Courtney Hosking and Linda Nguyen attended the spectacular premiere at the Pinnacle in Turkey Creek and were able to catch an advance screening of the movie. Though the first film was widely successful, both Hosking and Nguyen were a bit skeptical about the sequel, yet the end of the film left them with a shocking revelation: they liked it.
